(Cayman Islands)
I live on a small island, population of around 60,000 people.
Between March and June the entire nation entered lock down. It was difficult managing home schooling and restrictions.
I can’t begin to imagine how hard it must have been for those without family to be alone and the toll it took on their mental health.
I am so thankful for the sacrifices everyone made. Collectively as an island we stayed the course and we are now free to move around without masks and our children are able to experience normal lives doing everyday activities.
We get to celebrate as usual this holiday season without restrictions and I am thankful that I am surrounded by so many loving, supportive people.
